Steal These Ideas

After upsetting the Detroit Lions, the Carolina Panthers called out the analysts who picked against them. Nothing unusual there, except Carolina brought in Bojangles to sponsor the moment. The Keep The Receipts concept offered fans BOGO large Legendary Iced Teas with code "GetTheTea." It's an unexpected brand fit that turns a moment of heightened fan excitement and attention into an opportunity to drive purchases. I shared a similar idea last winter for financial services during tax season, but credit to the Panthers for finding a great QSR application.

Speaking of natural brand-content fits, the Cincinnati Bengals partnered with Goodwill to sponsor wholesome player-fan interactions. A simple pairing that makes sense for both sides.

Ramp teamed up with Tony Hawk for a playful campaign built around his love of ramps. Targeted by the fictional "Ollie-garchy," Hawk enters witness protection, trades his skateboard for a Wall Street desk, and becomes "Tony Stock." Fans can explore his legendary career through an interactive safe house. A fun way for the financial software company to lean into its name through an unexpected partnership.

The Texas Longhorns introduced Under The Coverage, a series with Lola Blankets featuring players breaking down game film while tucked under a blanket. Defensive back Jonah Williams stars in the latest episode. A natural product integration that gives a familiar format a fun twist.

Tifos continue expanding beyond soccer in the U.S. The San Antonio Spurs partnered with Ledger on one during the 2026 playoffs (Post 1 | Post 2 | Post 3), while the New York Jets created one for Sunday's Crucial Catch game with Atlantic Health, featuring artwork inspired by pediatric patients.

The Jets are also bringing that artwork to their new in-stadium vending machine. Fans can text "PRIZE" to 26154 for a chance to win exclusive merchandise, including a collectible card featuring the tifo design. A thoughtful way to extend the activation, drive fan participation, and grow the team's text-message marketing audience.

Anthony Edwards is bringing back his hilarious Believe That Awards for a second year, building on a debut that generated 167M impressions in 48 hours and earned a Gold Honor at the Shorty Awards. This time, he's landed PrizePicks as presenting sponsor. The awards, featuring categories like "White Boy of the Year" and "Stood on Bidness," are a perfect extension of Edwards' personality and signature "Believe That" catchphrase. Fans can predict winners through the PrizePicks app for a chance to win cash and signed sneakers, with over 280K entries as of Sunday afternoon. They've even created a dedicated Instagram account for the awards. It's a great example of turning an original content idea into a sponsorable property that also drives fans to a partner's platform. Winners will be announced on Wednesday night.
